To minimize shipping costs and maximize space saved for the business’s efficiency-minded end users, JBM recommended smaller “right-sized packaging” for all components. The teams worked together to ensure the packets would be the appropriate size for all kinds of seeds, from tiny herb seeds to larger seeds like beans and corn.
The biggest challenge for the teams was sourcing the huge variety of seeds required. With more than 50 seed types in the initial project, JBM’s relationships with an extensive community of seed providers proved crucial. Later in the project, when seasonal fluctuations led to seed shortages, JBM was able to call upon its team’s seed expertise to recommend and source alternatives.
