What’s the difference between a glassine envelope and a glassine bag?

What’s the difference between open end envelopes and open side envelopes?

Is glassine compostable?
Yes, glassine is suitable for home or industrial composting! Glassine is made of 100% wood cellulose fiber with no additional coatings that could cause issues for compostability.
Do I need adhesive on my glassine envelopes?
Not necessarily! If you don’t want your envelopes to seal closed, you don’t need to order them with any adhesive. If you want users to be able to access your product and then close up the envelope again, resealable glassine envelopes are available from JBM Packaging.
